Yesterday was the last night of Montreal Fashion Week, I had seen 2 shows, Soia & Kyo and Denis Gagnon. I knew that it was a bad sign when it took me half an hour to find parking, but luckily the parking lot right across the street from Bonsecours market had let me in, the man was holding an orange cone and had laid it down behind my car, yelling to the rest “complet complet” I felt so bad for the line of cars waiting behind me. There were so many people that night it was completely jammed every where you turned, but it was definitely the best night of the week.

Soia & Kyo presented us with their beautiful spring 2009 collection, along with cute gift bags and huge clear umbrellas. Thanks! Just what I was looking for. For spring, red & camel leather jackets, with short shorts, & mauve rainboots rocked the runway. While their signature style of big buttons & great detailing still shone in their collection, their black & white checkered trench coat, with bright red leggings & oxford style pump got heads turning. It was a beautiful collection altogether, I want it all!

Denis Gagnon presented a collection with leather bags and accessories. The look from head to toe was incredible, the tops and dresses that he designed were very intricate, it looked like he had braided the fabric and used it as a signature design throughout the whole collection. It was mind blowing!
